Our vision is to see Alliance women and their gifts championed and included in God's redemptive work.

Our story so far

Who We Are

The Women in Leadership Collective (WLC) is a community of women and men passionate about connecting women leaders with opportunities to be celebrated, empowered, and equipped.

It is our desire to help women leaders connected to the Alliance family be encouraged, overcome barriers, and find the resources they need to thrive wherever God calls them to serve.

Value

On Mission:

We have a passion to see Alliance women, "as part of the whole people of God", empowered to follow their call "for the sake of multiplying disciples everywhere."

Diversity of Voices:

We view diversity as essential to serve women of all experiences and perspectives, enriching our ability to grow and serve.

Creative Collaboration:

We pursue thoughtful and creative collaboration with our partners, including National and District Leadership.

Sustainable Models:

We invest in sustainable models of leadership development where women and men are continually invited to thrive in partnership.

Grace-filled Posture:

We embrace a posture of grace toward others who hold a range of perspectives on the scriptural understanding of women's leadership as we fulfill our mission to celebrate, empower, and equip women in leadership.

The Team

FAQ's

The Collective is a community of women and men. The collective seeks to serve women by celebrating, empowering, and equipping them - but everyone is invited to participate in the celebrating, empowering and equipping!

Yes! The Collective was initiated by Rev. Dave Hearn during his presidency, and is being carried on by and has the full support of the National Ministry Center and the Board of Directors.

Women, with their God-given gifts, have a lot to offer our church community and our mission - but we know by looking at our own statistics that they are underrepresented in leadership positions in our denomination. While there are (or will be) other initiatives to support leadership in the Alliance, the Collective was born out of this recognition that there is a need to support women specifically in order to better include the whole people of God in His work around the globe.

Please sign up for communications from us - there is a section in the sign-up to let us know you’re looking for opportunities so we can get you in touch with the right people.

For now, start by signing up for communications with us! The sign-up gives you an option to self-identify as someone looking to support us through mentorship etc. When we’re ready, we’ll include you in that way.

We want to encourage you! Please let us know what you need with our communications sign-up and we’ll be in touch when we’ve got some support in place.

Our vision is to see ALL Alliance women and their gifts championed, regardless of your approach to ministry or your convictions around the role of women in the church. It is the conviction of the Collective that all women are valuable and needed in the work of God’s kingdom. You are of course welcome to engage with the Collective as you are comfortable.
